INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

In the event of lightning and/or thunder, all swimmers must be out of the water for 30-45 minutes. (30 minutes for thunder, 45 for lightning). The lifeguards at the pool make the decision to clear the pool. That clock starts over with each new thunderclap or lightning sighting. If we experience inclement weather during morning or afternoon practices, the coaches and reps will make a decision on whether we will simply wait out the storm and resume later OR if we will cancel practice for that session.

In the event inclement weather during a meet, the coaches and reps from both teams will determine the course of action. A meets are rarely cancelled--they are simply delayed and resumed as soon as the weather passes.
